Biography

Marion Aizpors was a West German swimmer of Latvian descent. She participated in the 1988 Seoul Olympics and reached the 100 metres backstroke, and both 4x100 metres relays finals. She finished eighth in the individual event, and seventh in both the freestyle and medley relays. In the 50 metres freestyle, Aizpors won the B-final and was classified ninth.

At European Championships, Aizpors won three relay medals, one silver and two bronzes, in 1981 and 1989. Domestically, she won ten national titles. By profession, Aizpors became a geriatric nurse.
