Biography

Beside her appearance at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics, both in the 100 and 400 freestyle and with the freestyle relay (fourth), German swimmer Reni Erkens came in third with the relay at the 1927 Europeans. From 1926-30 she was German Champion in the 100 free, in 1929 also winning the 400 free. In 1930 she married her teammate Ernst Küppers, and had two children, Margot and Ernst-Joachim Küppers.
