Biography

Ingeborg Renner was a freestyle swimmer who competed in the 1968 Mexico City Olympics. She was eliminated in the heats of the 100 free and with the 4x100 freestyle relay. She grew up in Erfurt, East Germany, and defected to West Germany during the 1966 Europeans in Utrecht, and then moved to Wuppertal and swam for Wasserfreunde Wuppertal.
