Biography

West German swimmer Susanne Schuster placed seventh in the 100 metres freestyle at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. With the 4x100 freestyle relay she won the bronze medal. At the European Championships she won two silver medals with the 4x100 freestyle relays in 1981 and 1985, and three more bronze medals in 1983, 1987 and 1989. Schuster won the 100 metres butterfly national title in 1986 and 1987. By profession, she was a trained bank clerk.
