Biography

Iris Zscherpe, a West German swimmer, placed ninth in the 100 metres freestyle and tenth in the 200 metres freestyle at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. With the 4x100 freestyle relay team she won the bronze medal. With the relay squad she also won a silver medal at the European Championships in 1985 and a bronze medal in 1983. In 1986, Zscherpe won her only German national titles, over 50 and 200 metres freestyle.
