Biography
German swimmer Albert Schumburg was eliminated in the prelims of the 100 backstroke at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics. He was also chosen for the German water polo team, but did not play, and would again be a water polo alternate in 1932. In 1931 he was second with the water polo team at the Europeans. With SC Hellas Magdeburg Schumburg won German water polo titles in 1928-31, and 1933. He also won German titles with the 4x100 medley relay from 1927-29, and with the 100-200-100 medley relay in 1931 and 1933. By profession, Schumburg was a butcher.
