Biography
Diver Johnny Weiß was the only German diver at the 1936 Berlin Olympics to participate in both the springboard and platform events, but fell short of a medal, finishing fifth in the springboard event and fourth in the 10 metre platform. In 1938 made up for the Berlin disappointment by becoming European Champion in both springboard and platform. Weiß was German springboard and platform champion 1936-40.
