Amman Jalmaani was a breaststroke specialist who also swam individual medley and competed at the 1964, 1968, and 1972 Olympic Games. Jalmaani won six medals at the Asian Games, with three silvers and three bronzes in 1966, 1970, and 1974. After retiring from competition, Jalmaani lived in Zamboanga City and served in the Philippines Armed Forces.
