Biography

A one-time featherweight, George Marjoribanks boxed with the Edinburgh Melbourne Club in the 1920s. He later became a boxing referee, officiating in many bouts and tournaments in Scotland. Marjoribanks was chosen as one of the officials for the 1948 Olympic boxing tournament at the Wembley Arena.
