Erika Bricker competed at the 1964 Olympics when she was a 15-year-old student at Mount Whitney High School. Her biggest individual came at the 1967 Pan American Games, winning the 100 freestyle, the same year she won the AAU indoor title in 100 free. Bricker later married and became Erika Holderith and settled in Asheville, North Carolina where she is a member of the Heritage Court Pillars of Fame.
