Biography

Leigh Ann Fetter swam for the United States at the 1988 Seoul Olympics. A freestyle sprinter, she placed fifth in the 50 freestyle at Seoul. Fetter swam in college at the University of Texas. She was NCAA Champion in the 50 yard freestyle for four consecutive years at Texas, helping lead them to NCAA team titles in 1988, 1990, and 1991. Fetter also swam at the 1991 World Championships, winning a silver medal in the 50 free. She became a member of the Longhorn Hall of Honor in 2003. Fetter later became head swim coach for the Greater Nebraska Swim Team and Lincoln Southwest High School men’s and women’s teams.
