Biography

Mike Finneran attended The Ohio State University, graduating in 1971 with a degree in business administration. Finneran won the 1971 NCAA title on springboard and was 1971 Pan American Games champion on springboard. He won AAU titles outdoors on springboard in 1972, and indoors on springboard in 1971. Finneran later became a diving coach, coaching the men and women at the University of South Carolina from 1981-85, and then at Alabama from 1985-88. He was SEC Coach of the Year in 1986-87. He was the US coach at the 1986 Goodwill Games. Finneran later coached at Enloe High School in Raleigh (1997-2000), and then at NC State University in Raleigh.
