Biography

Paul Hait was a finalist in the 200m breaststroke at the 1960 Olympics, in addition to his performance on the relay team that won and set world records in both the heats and finals. Hait swam for the Santa Clara SC. Hait was the son-in-law of Charles Keating, Jr., NCAA swimming champion in 1946; better known for involvement in 1990s savings and loan scandals, for which he was convicted and served 4 years in prison, although the conviction was later overturned.
