Biography

Tom Trethewey swam at Mt. Lebanon High School in Pittsburgh and then at Indiana University. He was 1965 NCAA Champion in the 200 yard breaststroke, and swam on the winning Indiana medley relay team in 1965. Trethewey won the 1965 AAU title outdoors in the 100 metre breaststroke. After college Trethewey joined the US Navy and became a fighter pilot, with he and his wife settling in Summerville, South Carolina after his Navy retirement.
