Biography

Bridgette Gordon played college hoops at the University of Tennessee, where she helped the team to four straight Final Four appearances, and NCAA titles in 1987 and 1989. She was a four-time All-SEC selection and was Final Four MVP in 1989. In addition to her 1988 Olympic gold medal, Gordon played for the US team that won bronze at the 1991 Pan American Games. After college she played in Europe, with most of her career in Italy, where she led her teams to seven Italian Championships and European Cup titles in 1994 and 1996. Gordon finished her career with one season in Turkey and then two years in the WNBA with the Sacramento Monarchs.

Gordon then went into coaching and scouting. She started as an assistant coach at Stetson University, and then was a WNBA regional scout for two years. She returned to the college bench as an assistant at Georgia State, and then was an assistant at Wichita State University. In 2001 she was inducted into the Lady Vols Hall of Fame. She was also named to the NCAA Silver Anniversary Team in 2006.
