Biography

Goalkeeper Gerd Olbert was on the West German water polo team at the 1972 München Olympics. The team finished in fourth place, and he earned 125 international caps. Domestically, he played with SV 05 Würzburg and helped them to win the West German championships in 1970 and 1974. By profession, he became a bank director, and was an avid tennis player.
