Biography

Doug Kimbell played water polo at Long Beach State University, where he made All-American in 1980 and 1981. He was a USA All-American 11 times during his career, and was on the US National Team from 1980-95. He competed at the 1988 and 1992 Olympics, winning a silver medal in 1988. Kimbell also competed for the US at the 1991 and 1994 World Championships. He played at the Pan American Games in 1991 (silver) and 1995 (gold). Kimbell later worked as a claims specialist in the Los Angeles area. He was inducted into the US Water Polo Hall of Fame in 2000.
