Biography

The 7-metre class was only on the Olympic yachting program in 1908 and 1920 and Great Britain won the event on both occasions. Robert Coleman was a crew member in 1920 aboard Cyril Wright’s entry, Ancora, from the Royal Burnham Yacht Club. Born in Australia, he came to Europe to fight in France during World War I. He was married to Connie Machin, a sister of Dorothy Wright, who was born Dorothy Machin.
