Biography

Mike Gebhardt competed at five consecutive Olympic Games (1984-2000) in windsurfing, winning a bronze medal in 1988 and a silver medal in 1992, with the first appearance in 1984 when windsurfing was a demonstration sport. Gebhardt also won gold at the 1987 Pan American Games, silver at the 1995 Pan American Games, and a bronze at the 1999 Pan Ams. He has also been a six-time World Champion and won 23 US titles. He worked for much of this time as a professional coach and consultant, in both windsurfing and kiteboarding.
