Biography

Omar Monza played basketball for Argentina at the 1952 Helsinki Olympics. He was also on the Argentine team that won the 1950 World Championships. Between those two appearances he won a silver medal at the 1951 Pan American Games. Monza continued to play ball until 1955 when a new Argentine government carried out a policy of persecution of politicians, writers, journalists, and athletes.
