Biography

After starting out as a weightlifter and boxer Denmark’s Valther Jensen switched to specialising in the discus throw with him winning ten national titles and setting six Danish records. Jensen won his first Danish title in 1916, before winning six more consecutive titles, followed by three more titles from 1927 to 1929. At the 1920 Antwerpen Olympics he finished in seventh place with a best throw of 38.230 metres.

Personal Best: DT – 42.46 (1919).
