Biography

At the 1956 Melbourne Olympics Anne-Chatrine Lafrenz finished 12th in the shot put, but could not reach the final in the discus throw. She won four West German titles, in 1955 in both events and in 1956 and 1957 in the discus. She qualified for her last German discus final in 1977, at age 40. Lafrenz was married to a school director, and continued her sports career in masters track & field, winning 65 (!!) German (Senior) Championships in all and additionally seven World and 20 European Championships.

Personal Bests: SP – 15.33 (1971); DT – 56.14 (1971).
