Biography

Bárbara Castro was a Chilean professional tennis player. Primarily a doubles player, Castro was often paired with Paula Cabezas. Castro played in 36 Fed Cup matches for Chile from 1992 to 2000, partnering with Cabezas in 15 victories. Castro and Cabezas competed in the doubles tournament at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics but lost their first round match. The pair teamed up again at the 1999 Pan American Games where they won the silver medal.
