Biography

Brian Diemer was a steeplechaser who ran at three Olympics (1984, 1988, 1992), winning a bronze medal in 1984. He also competed at four World Championships, in 1983, 1987, 1991, and 1993, with a best finish of fourth in 1987. Diemer won a gold medal at the 1990 Goodwill Games and a silver medal at the 1995 Pan American Games.

Diemer ran at the University of Michigan, where he won the NCAA steeplechase in 1983 and was third in the 2-mile at the 1983 NCAA Indoor Championships. Diemer later coached cross-country at Calvin College from 1986-2022.

Personal Best: 3000S – 8:13.16 (1984).
