Biography

Eino Pentti was AAU 6-miles champion in 1934 and 1937-38. He also won AAU long-distance titles over 15 km. in 1940 and 25 km. in 1934. He represented the Millrose AA. Born to Finnish parents, Pentti settled permanently in the US at age 24. During World War II he used his skiing skills to teach US Army recruits to ski. Pentti later became a physiotherapist and massage therapist in New York, numbering among his clients many of the rich and famous, including Marlon Brando, Burt Lancaster, Frank Sinatra, and Al Pacino.

Personal Best: 10K – 30:54.6 (1938).
