Biography

Candy Jones was a pairs figure skater who skated with Donald Fraser, whom she later married. They were Canadian pair champions in 1975-76, and competed at the 1975-76 World Championships and the 1976 Winter Olympics, with a best finish of 11th at the 1975 Worlds. Candace Jones-Fraser then attended medical school at McGill in Montréal and did a residency in family medicine at Queen’s University. She and her husband eventually settled in northern Vermont, where Jones-Fraser practiced family medicine at the University of Vermont and the Fletcher Allen Health Centre. The couple had two sons, Jesse and Matthew. In 2016, Mat Fraser won the Cross-Fit World Games, a competition for fitness which proclaims him the world’s fittest man.
