German high jumper Christian Rhoden did not advance to the final at his only Olympic participation at Sydney in 2000. He won three silvers (1997, 1999-2000) and four bronzes (1995, 1998, 2002, 2004) at German national championships. In 1997 and 2002 he won the German indoor national titles and added four more silvers (1996, 1998-99, 2003) and two bronzes (1995, 2000). Rhoden later became an insurance and finance agent.
