Biography

Traudl Treichl participated in the 1972 Sapporo Winter Olympics in three Alpine skiing events: downhill (13th), giant slalom (ninth) and slalom (did not finish the first run). Her greatest moment came in 1974, when she won the giant slalom silver medal at the World Championships in St. Moritz. Therefore she was awarded the Silver Bay Leaf, the highest German sports award.
