Biography

Austrian alpine skier Gretl Weikert placed 18th in the alpine combined at the 1936 Garmisch-Partenkirchen Winter Olympics. This event was the only alpine event held at Garmisch. At the World Championships at Innsbruck a week after the Olympics, Weikert won the slalom bronze medal. She also entered several podiums in international downhill and slalom races.
