Biography

Nelson Carmichael was the first American man to win a freestyle skiing Olympic medal with his moguls bronze at the Albertville Winter Olympics. Carmichael first made the US Ski team in 1983, right after his high school graduation, and stayed on the team until his retirement after the 1992 Winter Olympics. During his career he won six US National titles in moguls (1975, 1987-91), 12 individual World Cup events, and was twice champion in the World Grand Prix Moguls.
