Herberts Kušķis was a Latvian ice hockey player who tended goal at the 1936 Winter Olympics. He also competed at the World Championships in 1933-35 and 1938-39 and at the 1932 European Championships. Kušķis was capped 16 times for Latvia. While playing with Union Rīga (1931-34) and ASK Rīga (1934-40), he won six Latvian league titles. After World War II Kušķis moved to Canada, living in Toronto for the rest of his life.
