In the late 1890s and early 1900s Carl Georgi competed with his brother René in tennis tournaments in the north-west of France. At the 1900 Paris Olympics the Georgi brothers competed in two non-medal handicap events. Carl reached the quarter-finals of the singles where he lost to the British player Moreau. In the doubles the brothers were eliminated in the first round.
