Biography

Terrance Trammell was a three-time Olympian in the 110 metre hurdles, winning silver medals in the event in 2000 and 2004. He also won three silver medals in the high hurdles at the 2003, 2007, and 2009 World Championships. In 1999 Trammell won two gold medals at the World University Games, in the 110 hurdles and the 4x100 relay. He also won four medals at the World Indoor Championships with golds in 2001 and 2006 60 metres hurdles, adding a bronze in 2010, and he won another bronze in the 2006 60 metres.

Trammell attended the University of South Carolina, where he won the 110 hurdles in 1999 and 2000 at the NCAA Championships, and the 60 metre hurdles in the same years at the NCAA Indoor Championships.

He later became a track coach at Pace Academy in Atlanta. In 2021 Trammell was inducted into the USA Track & Field Hall of Fame.
