Biography

Tim Wieskötter participated in four Olympic Games from 2000 at Sydney to London 2012. Partnering Ronny Rauhe in the kayak doubles over 500 metres, he won medals of each colour: gold in 2004, silver in 2008 and bronze in 2000. He then moved to the K4-1,000 metres and finished an unfortunate fourth at the 2012 London Games.

At European Championships, Wieskötter won 11 gold and four silver medals. At the Worlds he added seven more gold medals and two each of silver and bronze. Wieskötter was awarded the Silver Bay Leaf, Germany’s highest sports award. He studied engineering management.
