Alex Ottiano

Alex Ottiano was a judoka who wrestled for the USA at the 2000 and 2004 Olympic Games. He won bronze medals in half-lightweight at the 1999 and 2003 Pan American Games. Ottiano was a four-time National Champion and had nine podium finishes at the USA Nationals.

At the Pan American Championships Ottiano won three medals, with silver in 1999 and bronze medals in 2000 and 2002. His major international wins came at the 1999 and 2002 Rendez-Vous Canada and the 2000 and 2004 New York Open.

Ottiano graduated from Brown University in 1998 with an economics degree. He then earned an MBA at the Questrom School of Business at Boston University in 2008, after his judo career ended. Ottiano joined Bank of America as a senior vice-president in charge of renewable energy finance, with his charge being to negotiate and structure tax equity investment for wind, solar and storage projects.
