Jason Parker

Jason Parker was a sport shooter who competed at four Olympic Games from 2000 to 2012. He initially focused on air rifle, competing at the Olympics in that event in 2000, 2004, and 2008, but later in his career had success in small-bore rifle and appeared in that event in at the 2008 and 2012 Olympics.

Parker won five medals at the Pan American Games, with four golds in the 2003, 2007, and 2011 small-bore event, and a gold in air rifle in 2007. He won the 2002 World Championships in air rifle and has four bronze medals from the 2002 and 2006 Worlds.

While shooting Parker was a member of the US Army Marksmanship Unit. He attended Xavier University, graduating in 1996 with seven All-American selections as a member of the Xavier rifle team. Parker helped the 1996 Xavier air rifle team win the NCAA title. In individual NCAA competition, Parker placed second at the NCAA in small-bore in 1993, while in air rifle he placed third in 1994, fourth in 1995, and fifth in 1996. Parker was inducted into the Xavier Athletic Hall of Fame in 2002.
