Biography

Cristian Brandi was an Italian tennis player who specialised in the doubles, achieving a career-best ranking of #50 in the world in April 2000. Brandi won his first doubles title in 1994 when he and Federico Mordegan had a walkover against the Dutch pair of Richard Krajicek and Menno Oosting at the Portugal Open. His only other title came at the 1997 San Marino Open, this time paired with Filippo Messori. He reached the third round at Grand Slams on three occasions, twice at Wimbledon (1995, 2000), and once at the French Open (1997). In 2000 Brandi and Massimo Bertolini competed in the doubles at the Sydney Olympics and reached the second round.
