Biography

Hamish Carter was 26th in the triathlon at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games, was bronze medallist at the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester, and won the event in Athens in 2004, finishing less than eight seconds ahead of compatriot and sometime training partner Bevan Docherty. Carter won the triathlon World Cup in 2006 and won two bronze and one silver medal in the World Championships, and then retired early in 2007.
