Biography

Eeti Nieminen competed at three major international tournaments during his career, finishing sixth in Nordic Combined at the 1954 World Championships, eighth at the 1952 Winter Olympics, and ninth at the 1956 Winter Olympics. After finishing his sporting career, Nieminen worked for many years with the Finnish Ski Association, serving on the executive board from 1969-71, as vice-president in 1971, as a member of the Nordic Combined committee from 1964-69, and as a member of the information and public relations committee from 1978-94.
