Biography

John Misha Petkevich won the US Men’s Championship in 1971. He also had four other podium finishes in the event, placing second in 1969, 1970, and 1972 and third in 1968. Petkevich competed at four World Championships, placing fifth in 1969-71 and fourth in 1972. He attended Harvard University and while there he founded “An Evening with Champions,” an ice show that annually raises money to benefit the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Petkevich also received a Rhodes Scholarship, later earning a PhD in cell biology but his business career was in investment banking.
