Biography

Siegfried Radandt was a West German bobsledder from Rosenheim who finished fifth in the four-man event (driven by Georg Heibl) at the 1976 Innsbruck Winter Olympics. Radandt later became a high school teacher and was known as professor. He became an internationally renowned security scientist, and was responsible for many publications. Radandt was chief of the testing and certification body of the Research Association for Applied Systems Safety and Occupational Medicine in Mannheim, and was holder of the Federal Cross of Merit.

Since October 2014, Radandt has been head of training and further education for coaches, and the first ethics officer, of the German Bobsleigh and Sledge Federation. From 1963 to 2000 he worked for the food and beverage trade association, most recently as chief technical inspector. He held several more positions in international security organizations and institutions.
