Biography

Hans Rösch finished sixth with the West German four-man bob team Germany 1 at the 1956 Cortina d’Ampezzo Winter Olympics. His team-mates were Michael Pössinger, Lorenz Nieberl and Sylvester Wackerle, Sr.. With Nieberl he also finished ninth in the two-man bob. With the four-man bob he won a medal of each color at the World Championships (gold in 1958, silver in 1954 and 1960, and bronze in 1953). In 1959 he was awarded the Silver Bay Leaf. Rösch won the two-man West German title in 1955, and the four-man title in 1955-56 and 1960. In the 1930s Rösch was a motorcycle racer.
