Biography

Dan Simoneau was on the US Ski Team from 1976-88. He competed at two Winter Olympics, at the 1982, 1985, and 1987 World Championships, and the World Winter University Games in 1987. Simoneau was US Champion at 30K in 1987 and 1988. Simoneau skied the World Cup circuit from its inception in 1981 through the rest of his career. He was seventh overall in the first World Cup season (1981-82), and in one race, placed second behind teammate Bill Koch, the only 1-2 finish ever for the United States in a major cross-country ski race.
