Biography

Ice hockey player Karl Wild finished eighth with the German national team at the 1952 Oslo Winter Olympic Games. In 1953 he won the silver medal at the World Championships and won a total of 22 international caps. In 1935, 1938, 1941 and 1950 he was German Champion with his club SC Riessersee. In 1960 he coached the German national team at the Squaw Valley Olympic Winter Games. He was later inducted into the German Ice Hockey Hall of Fame.
