Biography

Manfred Winter was mainly a long-distance speed skater who participated in the 1976 Innsbruck Games. He finished 18th in the 5,000 metres. Domestically, he won three East German national titles, over 3,000 metres in 1972, the all-round title in 1974, and the 10,000 metres in 1976.

Personal Bests: 500 – 40.9 (1976); 1000 – 1:22.2 (1976); 1500 – 2:02.7 (1976); 5000 – 7:13.4 (1976); 10000 – 15:00.6 (1977).
