Biography

Primarily a sprinter, Amy Sannes was a speed skater who competed at three Winter Olympic Games, those of 1998, 2002, and 2006. Sannes graduated from the University of Utah in 2004 with a degree in exercise physiology. During her career she won two US titles, and had 12 podium finishes at the US Nationals. She twice placed in the top 10 of the World Sprint Championships. Sannes had 104 World Cup starts with 24 top 10 finishes.

Personal Bests: 500 – 38.61 (2006); 1000 – 1:15.09 (2002); 1500 – 1:55.59 (2002); 3000 – 4:20.81 (2002); 5000 – 8:12.60 (1997).
