Austrian Nordic combined athlete Christoph Eugen participated at the 1998 Nagano and 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics. With the Austrian team he finished an unfortunate fourth in 1998. Individually he came 24th and 20th respectively.
At World Championships, Eugen won a team silver medal in 2001 and a team bronze in 1997. At the Austrian nationals he won a gold medal in 1997, silver in 1998, and four bronzes. Eugen became chief head coach of the Austrian Nordic combined national team in 2012 and moved to the Finnish national team in 2025. His wife tragically died in a mountaineering accident in 2023.
