IOC Members Election Commission ()

IOC Members Election Commission

The Nominations Commission was formed at the 110th IOC Session in 1999 to institute a procedure for electing and re-electing International Olympic Committee (IOC) Members. The commission’s charge was to prepare a report on each prospective IOC candidate and present it to the IOC Executive Board. Based on these reports, the board presented candidates to the IOC Session, which voted on inclusion of new members. The Nominations Commission was technically disbanded during the Presidency of Thomas Bach and renamed as the IOC Members Election Commission.

The mission of the IOC Members Election Commission is to implement a targeted recruitment process for IOC Members. The current chair as of 2022 is HRH Princess Anne.
