As in 1928, 1932, and 1936 there were two architectural events in the 1948 Arts Competition – Designs for Town Planning and Architectural Designs. There were 55 participants from 14 nations who submitted designs. The exhibits for Town Planning and Architectural Designs were identical but were assessed separately for both categories. All possible medals were awarded as well as several honorable mentions.
