Equestrian Dressage at the 1992 Summer Olympics

Dates 2 – 5 August 1992
Medal Events 2

Most of the 1992 equestrian events took place at the Real Club de Polo Barcelona, with the eventing dressage and endurance phases held elsewhere, at the Club Hípico El Montanyà, Montanyà, although it had originally been scheduled for Parc del Remolar in downtown Barcelona. The Real Club de Polo Barcelona was founded in 1897 and had facilities for polo, hockey (field), tennis, squash, and swimming. Club Hípico El Montanyà was a horse club that had been built in 1991 over a defunct golf course.

Team and individual dressage events were contested over four days at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. Nicole Uphoff-Becker won the individual title and led West Germany to the team gold medal, defending the titles they had won in 1988 at Seoul. The events started concurrently with the first two days determining the team placements and the individual qualifiers for the final day of individual competition.
